Light up the night at one of Atlanta’s most beloved traditions! The Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade returns to the Southwest Trail with an expanded route filled with glowing lanterns, larger-than-life illuminated puppets, live marching bands, local vendors, and thousands of Atlantans coming together for an evening of creativity and community.

The parade lineup begins at 7:15 PM at Beulah Colbert Park (formerly Adair Park II), with the parade stepping off at 8:00 PM. The procession travels through the neighborhood and onto the Southwest Trail before ending at Lee + White, where the celebration continues with the final All-Band Puppet Jam.

The event welcomes cyclists, runners, walkers, families, and neighbors for a morning of fitness, community, and connection. Previous Ride for the Westside events have included an 11-mile bike ride, 5K run, and walking experience through the Historic Westside, giving participants an opportunity to experience neighborhoods and landmarks that have played an important role in Atlanta's history.

Get ready to Strut! The East Atlanta Strut returns Saturday, September 26, for a full day celebrating the people, businesses, artists, musicians, and unmistakable personality of East Atlanta.

Since 1998, the East Atlanta Strut has been completely organized and run by volunteers. More than just a neighborhood festival, the Strut gives back: 100% of festival profits are returned to the community, with more than $100,000 donated in recent years to local nonprofits, schools, organizations supporting neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, child mentoring programs, pet rescues, arts organizations, neighborhood beautification projects, and other community initiatives—particularly smaller nonprofits serving the 30316 area.

The festivities officially kick off at noon with the famous Strut Parade, followed by activities throughout East Atlanta Village, surrounding neighborhood streets, and Brownwood Park. Expect live music, artist markets, food and drinks, Porchfest performances, local businesses, family and pet activities, and some uniquely East Atlanta traditions—including favorites such as Leaf Blower Madness and Llama Poop Bingo.

The day actually gets moving before the festival begins with the Strut 5K at 8:30 AM, a community run/walk through the streets of East Atlanta that also raises funds for local nonprofit organizations.

And this year, there’s another reason to leave the car at home: Two Wheel Valet ATL will provide FREE, secure bike valet throughout the entire East Atlanta Strut! Sunday in the Park featuring Tunes from the Tombs returns to Historic Oakland Cemetery for its 48th year, bringing together live music, Atlanta history, art, food, and family-friendly fun throughout one of the city's most historic spaces.

The festival is inspired by the Victorian-era tradition of cemeteries serving as community green spaces—places where people gathered for picnics, music, recreation, and time together. Sunday in the Park brings that tradition to life with a distinctly Atlanta twist, celebrating life while sharing the history and stories preserved at Oakland.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live performances on the main stage, Mausoleum Porchfest featuring local bands, guided tours and living-history performances, an artist market featuring Atlanta makers, food trucks, craft beer and cocktails, children's storytelling, music and crafts, and an Oakland Store pop-up. There's even a costume contest where guests are encouraged to show up in Victorian, steampunk, goth, or other Oakland-inspired looks.

Even better, attending helps support the place you're exploring. Proceeds from Sunday in the Park support Historic Oakland Foundation's work to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery.

The Inman Park Festival is one of the city’s most iconic spring traditions—bringing together art, music, food, and community in one of Atlanta’s most historic neighborhoods.

As Atlanta’s largest all-volunteer festival, this weekend is packed with energy—from the nationally loved artists market and street vendors to live music across multiple stages, kids activities, and the famous Inman Park parade on Saturday.

Stroll the tree-lined streets, explore historic homes, grab food from local vendors, and take in one of the most vibrant neighborhood festivals Atlanta has to offer.
