Celebrate Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Oakland Cemetery! This beautiful annual celebration, hosted by the Consulate General of Mexico and the Institute of Mexican Culture, brings Mexican traditions, culture and remembrance to one of Atlanta’s most historic spaces.
Guests of all ages can experience traditional folkloric dancing, crafts, food, music and beautifully created altars honoring family members and friends who have passed. Visitors are also encouraged to dress for the occasion and participate in the Catrinas and Catrines costume contest, with categories for both adults and children. Registration for the contest takes place during the festival.

Two Wheel Valet ATL will be on-site providing FREE Bike Valet for festival guests! Oakland Cemetery specifically encourages visitors to arrive by bike, MARTA or rideshare, and bike valet will be available for cyclists during the event.

The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Because it is a permitted event in a City of Atlanta park, pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals.
